  1. Kimberly,

You have an interesting topic. Motivating adult learners is a challenging task particularly when each of them brings experiences and knowledge to bear on the process of learning.

You have a clear outline in terms of text both presented to the viewer visually and audibly. I am wondering if you add images to illustrate each line of text, it could enhance the visual impact that the medium commands.

I am working on expanding my text and associated visuals. The process is challenging as it forces me to learn methods and tools with which I am least familiar.

    Best regards

  2. Hi Kimberly. I think you have some excellent information for your topic. Remember that a video differs significantly from a PowerPoint. Text-based slides are common to PowerPoint but are rarely used in video presentations. Compressed video makes fine text completely unreadable and people watching a video rarely read detailed text. Try not to have more than 8 or 10 words on the screen at a time. Also, you should consider more visually based images. What visual will demonstrate the point you are making with text when accompanied with narration or dialogue? You are required to shoot some original video with a video camera, so you can find shots that demonstrate your content. Also, the scenario for the assignment is an introductory video for a guest speaker at a conference. Rather than framing your story with detailed information, think of it as peaking the audience interest with elements that the "guest speaker" will then explain in greater detail. Take another look at the example from the links given in the course announcements. Let me know if you need more guidance!

    Tim.
